The building-authority approval of wood screws has a long tradition in Germany. In the course of europeanisation of product requirements by the CDD\/CPR, also these national approvals were transferred into European Technical Approvals\/Assessments (ETAs).<\/p>\n
The current basis for ETAs for wood screws is the European Technical Assessment Document EAD\u00a0130118-00-0603 “Screws and threaded rods for use in timber constructions<\/a>“.<\/p>\n Compared with EN 14592, this EAD can be regularly updated with product innovation, new fields of application and latest research results.<\/p>\n The ETAs, issued by neutral and EU wide accepted Technical Assessment Bodies (TABs) contain all relevent data and frams conditions for the design and use of wood screws.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" The building-authority approval of wood screws has a long tradition in Germany.
